Unless you've been living under a rock — or for that matter, living in Iraq (LOL @ war!) — then you'll have experienced the "Rickroll" phenomenon by now.
But if not...first of all, bring the troops home! And second, Rickrolling is a practical online joke in which you claim to send someone a "totally awesome link" while actually redirecting them to a video of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up," the shitty, '80sed-out dance-pop song.
This veritable phenomenon, since referenced by Carson Daly and Family Guy, has several variations. There's the Rainroll, which sends you to that insufferably catchy "Chocolate Rain" video. And then there's the holy grail of rolls: the Rickrainroll, sending you to Urkel-lookalike Tay Zonday's disturbing cover of Astley's hit.
Anyhow, we here at iLaugh (okay, me here at iLaugh) think all this is played out. That's why we're gonna force a new and better meme on you: the Scatroll.
True, this has been tried before with little success. But we refuse to give up hope. If this catches on, we expect to hear generations of web surfers lamenting that they were Scatrolled (or Scatroll'd, the more poetic form) for the days, maybe even weeks to come — however long these goddamn Internet fads last.
In other words, clik this totally awsum link rite nao!!!
